Florida has seasons.

They just don’t look like anyone else’s.

A monthly envelope celebrating the real rhythms of Florida through original watercolor art, stories, and small discoveries for curious families.

$8/month • Shipping included • Cancel anytime

Every “seasons of the year” book teaches children that autumn means colorful leaves and winter means snow.

If you’re raising a child in Florida, that’s not the year they’re actually living.

Florida has its own seasons.

Alligator hatchlings in September.

Monarch butterflies gathering by the thousands before crossing the Gulf.

Swallow-tailed kites returning overhead.

Manatees seeking warmer waters.

The rhythms have always been here.

Most of us were simply never taught to notice them.

Wonder & Wander Field Notes was created to change that.

Not with another curriculum.

Not with another thing to keep up with.

Just one beautiful envelope each month, inviting your family to slow down, look a little closer, and discover what’s unfolding right outside your own front door.

What arrives each month

Every envelope is assembled by hand and addressed to your family.

Inside you’ll find:

🎨 An original watercolor postcard featuring a real Florida phenomenon happening that month.

📖 A short personal letter sharing the story behind the painting.

🌿 A collectible sticker sheet with ecosystem illustrations and a monthly collector’s badge.

🧭 A private online Field Guide with fascinating facts, places to explore, and simple ways to experience that month’s wonder together.

That’s it.

No worksheets.

No lesson plans.

No pressure to keep up.

Just one invitation each month to notice the season you’re already living.

Why families love Field Notes

Children remember what they experience.

When they discover that the dragonflies outside their window are part of a seasonal story…

or that the alligators they’ve seen on a boardwalk are raising families this month…

Florida becomes more than where they live.

It becomes part of who they are.

Wonder grows from paying attention.

Hi, I’m Lauren.

I’m a homeschool mom, watercolor artist, and lifelong lover of the natural world.

Wonder & Wander began because I couldn’t find nature resources that reflected the place my own children were actually growing up.

Everything talked about snowy winters and autumn leaves.

Meanwhile, outside our window, Florida was telling a completely different story.

So I started painting it.

One month at a time.

My hope is simple:

That every envelope helps another family fall a little more in love with the place they already call home.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages is this for?

Field Notes is designed for curious children roughly ages 4–12, but we’ve found older siblings, younger siblings, and even parents enjoy them just as much.

Is this a curriculum?

No. It’s intentionally smaller than that. Think of it as a monthly invitation to notice, explore, and wonder together.

What’s included online?

Each postcard includes access to a private Field Guide with fascinating facts, Florida places to visit, and simple activities you can do together.

Can siblings share one subscription?

Absolutely. Every envelope is designed to be enjoyed together.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no contracts or commitments.

Was this made with ai?

No. I am the artist whose hands, paintbrushes, and heart created every illustration on every postcard and for every sticker. My children (ages 7, 12 & 13) are my adventure assistants; they keep me in touch with my own inner-yong explorer.

A note from me

I don’t believe children need more information.

I think they need more reasons to fall in love with the world around them.

If this little envelope helps one family notice something they would have otherwise walked past…

then it has done exactly what it was created to do.

I hope your family joins us.

With love from Florida,

Lauren
